Heeey Reader,
How's your writing going? Fabulous? So-so? Discouraging? Nonexistent?
We've been there. Err, we're actually right there now. Every writer has times of struggle. Struggle to find time to write, to move to the next step, or to perfect a new element of craft.
We thought we'd share some of our recent struggles... just so you know that 30 years in and the struggle still exists.
Gena recently finished writing a ghostwritten book. She's waiting for feedback from her client and approval to move to the next step. Oh, and the next book on her plate is screaming for attention. And her own book is begging for attention too. She's juggling them all.
Chris got a project returned with a request for a significant re-write...on a week with no margin for error. Time to pivot.
The writing life has its ups and downs for sure.
If you've had your own struggles recently, don't give up. These bumps come. Expect them.
Never believe that you will some day arrive as a writer and never have another rewrite or bad critique. You will. We all will.
All we can do is learn the craft, read the writing books, and attend the writers' groups. Then keep creating and writing.
Never doubt that the world needs your voice. We're cheering you on because...
Together, we have Writing Momentum!
Chris & Gena
P.S. What are you writing right now? Is it going well, or is it a struggle? HIT REPLY and let us know.
